Once upon a time, I was a regular player of Blackmoor back at Megacon in Orlando. Now, I'm a Presbyterian pastor in central Ohio who just re-discovered Blackmoor (in the midst of running two Greyhawk campaigns using Castles & Crusades Reforged).

Welcome to the Comeback Inn Pastor!

I would really love to hear more about your experiences at Megacon! Any details are of interest! Smile

Let's see...

I still have emotional trauma from playing Confectionary King with PJ as the DM "The Confectionary King, Ho Ho! The Confectionary King, He He!". I can still hear him.

I remember how bittersweet the ending of Megacon 2009 was. Many of us went out to eat at Olive Garden afterwards, down on International Drive, to celebrate and memorialize.

Nice to hear that Blackmoor can create such experiences!

What characters did you play?

I only ever had the one.

A Cabalite Arcane Warrior who eventually ranked into Inquisitor. My GF at the time was a Cabalite Wizard and I played her "bodyguard".

Another friend, as I recall, was some type of Peshwah...however, I had 2 other regular party member's whose characters I forget.

By the way, if you want to download the Confectionery King adventure, you can find it here: Blackmoor MMRPG Season 2 Adventures

I figured the triplication as a feature...not a bug.

I currently have a group of Pastors that I GM for in Greyhawk (just finished the 1st level of the War Tower at Xagyg's ruins and they're presently traveling back to Greyhawk for part 1 of the Falcon series) I plan on dropping the "CK" adventure in before they head back to the Ruins.

Hello Everyone Smile

[I'm worried that I'm going to end up posting twice as my first post disappeared without trace - but awaiitng moderation perhaps?]

I'm a UK-based GM - been running a number of linked campaigns in Greyhawk since ~1982 (with more or less the same group of players) - and looking to start another set in Blackmoor. It will have two groups of PCs - one some high-level PCs cherry-picked from the other campaigns and push/pulled into Blackmoor from wherever they are now, and the second a group od 1st level PCs who will all be from Blackmoor and will have one or more PCs from the high-level group as their sponsor/patreon.

We used to use the AD&D rules but we switched to Rolemaster in the late 80s - still very firmly rooted in the World of Greyhawk though. I've been doing a lot of reading lately around Blackmoor, including FFC, OJ_05, Weird Enclave etc., it'll be a nice change of play style for my players.

Hello all!

I am brand new to this site. Thanks for the invite Havard. Hope some people recognize my username from a very popular book?  [Image: smile.png] Anyways, I joined here to get the MMRPG season downloads. I now see it looks like the early season's are no longer available? Is that correct?  [Image: sad.png] Is there no way to access them anymore at all? Anyways, I am currently reading the 3.5 Blackmoor Core rulebook and already read the First Fantasy Book. Going to start an OD&D "Blackmoor" Campaign. I was hoping to use the "adventures" from the MMRPG after B2 (I know thats for Basic, but still great for anything really besides AD&D) after that if I cannot use the MMRPG's, what do you guys use or have in mind for OD&D Blackmoor adventures? Those were never created. Don't tell me B modules. I already have a BECMI campaign going also. I am sure there is other "modules" on here others use maybe? Oh, is the 3.5 adventures any good to start with? I know there is a few small ones in the back of the Core book it seems.  [Image: smile.png] Let me know your thoughts. I am kind of lost since I never played OD&D before. I know conversion from 3.5 to OD&D is going to be a PITA! Just trying to figure out what Gygax meant in the 3 LBB's was confusing for me. Thank God books like Delving Deeper and S&W was created. Matt Finch is a pretty awesome guy. I have sent him about 100 emails.  [Image: smile.png] Anyways, enough rambling let me know your thoughts....

Hello Bard the Bowman, I have used the MMRPG material as a basis for my home campaign (PbP) for about ten years (https://blackmoor.mystara.us/forums/show...9#pid32379), and I am still enjoying it (and the players too). Hopefully you will have a similarly good experience. Heart
I am not using OD&D but another "low crunch" ruleset, but it's just a detail.

I have downloaded the MMRPG adventures years ago, so I don't know if there are more recent downloading issues, but some time ago there was some sort of system migration of the website that messed up some links. If you can't download some content, just sent a message to the moderators. Recently they have been a bit slower than usual in their reactions, but it may be just a seasonal thing.

I suggest you keep us up to date about your campaign here: https://blackmoor.mystara.us/forums/foru...php?fid=44  Big Grin

You may want to have a look at this section of the site: https://blackmoor.mystara.us/forums/foru...php?fid=29 as it is dedicated to Blackmoor and Greyhawk.
