Raphael Pinthus Wrote:The Afridhi, as far as I see it, are a borrowing from Tekumel, though; now the question is, is there a Zugzul, or Iuz, in Tekumel?
Probably the closest equivalents to Zugzul are Vimúhla, Lord of Fire, and Chiténg, his cohort. Vimúhla is the God of War-to-Overturn-Society, as opposed to Lord Karakán, who is the God of War-to-Establish-Society. The current Emperor of the Petal Throne is a worshiper of Vimúhla, who allows society to exist for now. Lord Chiténg pursues destruction for its own sake and his cult is smaller and more reckless and unpredictable than Vimúhla's.
Vimúhla is probably more like Hextor than Iuz, but he's probably a better match for Zugzul than Chiténg is. Iuz might be more like Chiténg, though. Both gods revel in slaughter, pillage, and starting fires.
