My guilty pleasure of the moment is "The Lies of Locke Lamora", and the whole "Gentlemen Bastards" series.
The premise is rather cheap - it essentially being a fusion of my beloved "Thieves World" and the Italian episodes from "Assassin's Creed" - but I find the novels reasonably entertaining, and even pretty original. What they understandably NOT are, is to be very deep.
