The cover of OD&D’s Men and Magic shows striking similarities to artwork by Dan Adkins, originally found in Doc Strange comic #167, Apr 1968, on page 11:
Similarly the art from writer/artist Jim Steranko’s SHIELD story in Strange Tales #167, page 6, panel 1 also made it into OD&D:
I also heard a couple of spells as well as how Astral Travel works in D&D was something Gary based on Doc Strange comics.
Does anyone know of more examples where elements from Marvel Comics (Or other comics) make it into early editions of D&D?
