Garbage Pits of Despair

Another (minor) tidbit, but one that always stuck out in my mind...this was written for D&D, where character level maxed out at 36, yet, per the text, the dragon saves as a 40th level Fighter. Smile

Re-reading this again.

I wonder if Sir Terrence of Walworth is based on Rob Kuntz's brother Terry? I think Aldarron suggested elsewhere that he would be related to the Earl of Walworth (Gary Gygax).

Another thing I noticed was how Garbage Pits offers some new insight on Blackmoor's Dragons. Apparently the Dragons of the North are much larger and more powerful than dragons of other parts of the world. The Dragons of the Dragon Hills are believed to be descendants of the Grey Dragon of Blackmoor. This is a concept that was revisited in the ZGG material.

The Dragon "Sophie" from this module is said to be the sister of the Dragon of Glendover. Sophie is quite young, but has been aged magically by the magic of the Wizard of the Woods.

This reminds me of Arneson's CoT report where he states that the Dragon belonging to the Wizard of the Woods had given birth to several dragons of various colors. A later report by Arneson also reveals that the Wizard of the Woods / Pete Gaylord had been forced to compensate villagers for the destruction done by his dragon's offspring.
