These are ones I am thinking of not on the list that I'd classify as Fantasy Movies:

Some are after 2009.

Clash of the Titans 1981
Clash of the Titans 2010
Season of the Witch 2011
Dragonlance: Dragons of Autumn 2008
Beowulf 2007

The Hobbit is coming. Conan this year. What about that movie with Dragons with Christian Bale and Matthew McCaugnahey[sp] - Ring? When I think of more movies I'll put em here!

Good list, some childhood favorites. I never saw the new Clash of the Titans movie. The first Beast Master was great, but they got pretty bad after that. The last one was more or less Hercules: The Legendary Journeys. I got into the first 2 Hercules made-for-TV movies because at the time fantasy movies seemed so rare, much less on TV. But after a while they got too bad, even for me.

I remember some flicks that don't really qualify as fantasy but have some elements: The Princess Bride, The Dark Crystal, Labyrinth, The Adventures of Baron Munchausen, Eric the Viking, Time Bandits

I also didn't particularly like the D&D movie.

Thanks for adding these! Keep them coming. I will update my list ASAP. I think Mathew- who made the original list may have avoided mythology films, but there is no reason for us to do that. They are pretty much fantasy movies as far as I see it. Smile

Updated and revised this list quite a bit and added lots of movies.

Were the 1990s really such a bad decade for fantasy movies?
