Forgotton Dwarves
#1
Based on the info nicely summerized in this thread http://www.thepiazza.org.uk/bb/viewtopi ... 70&start=0 , I have decided to put a large dwarven kingdom "Northern Delving" east of Blackmoor on my map project.

But, the information regarding dwarves and Blackmoor seems to indicate that Blackmoor itself was once a part of a much larger "Northern Delving" kingdom of Dwarves that has gradually shrunk in the face of human immigration. That would seem to be a lost or alternate history.

Interesting take on this idea Aldarron.

I'm not really sure where the name Northern Delving first appeared, but my impression was that it was simply a name for the various dwarven settlements within Blackmoor.

I can see how it would extend beyond that though. Dwarves did definately come from the south. We can be pretty sure that there are dwarves in Thonia. In my campaign, dwarves originally came from a continent to the far west, passing through Thonia before settling near Blackmoor.
