Castle Blackmoor announces new convention for fall 2022

major announcement. We’ve been working on trying to get a convention going for a number of years. We do plan to start small and see what others are willing to help with. We already have agreements and reached out to the United geeks give me a number of years ago and still working with. We are Aiming for October. we are coordinating with the regional Minnesota group who help start role-playing which I typically watch gaming with every Wednesday night. This should be a big fun event. Just role-playing for now more information as it develops

Look to the fall of 2022
our first convention was two years ago but Covid prevented it from continuing. Many of you who attended Bob Meyers game will remember that. Bob continue the Blackmore campaign after Dave Arneson had passed away. and you can actually see in the movie the “secrets of Blackmoor.”
sometimes it’s a slow ship that Makes it.

This appears to be a different convention than the recently announced DaveCon for April.

I like that this new convention is coordinated with the original gaming group. October also makes a lot of sense, lining it up with Dave Arneson Game Day

I got a call about this today:

This an extension of the research that I did on such an even several years ago, at the request of several of Dave's old players. The pandemic got in the way. It is not in any way associated with the 'DaveCon' event, and I don't think I can say much more beyond that as negotiations are still on-going.

I was asked if I would run a Tekumel game. I declined, due to the on-going issues with the Tekumel Foundation, but did agree to help out with technical and organizational advice and resources.
