Tracy's HackMoor Campaign 2014/02/18
#1
PART A. SUMMARY

I forgot what the pizza was, but we had a light game on Wednesday. We also missed a month due to bad weather.

Player list is in Part B at the bottom.

++++ START OF SESSION ++++

We started with character maintenance, and laying out of the setting.

Basically I'm using the 1970's Town of BlackMoor from First Fantasy Campaign, the party is trying to solve a Player-Character "Elefus'" ex-wife's murder. (She was raised up by Elefus, so if she's not dead, does it really need solving? Point noted but the King and his courtiers do not wan't a murderer loose in town.) Some of the recipients of this missive are new, so below is a repeat of the suspects from last report:

Elefus
Gerry Castagere (prime suspect)
Snizzlephish (Player Character eliminated as not Playing the game during the murder)
Sticky_Fingers (eliminated as having left town the day before)
Innkeeper
Troll Gawd (eliminated as having little motive and more important things to do)
Rahl
Red Dragon (eliminated as having little motive)
Huang
Honda
Junkbot
Fundisha
Numrendir
D'Vine_Justice
Mysery_Reigns
Bane
Special_Ed
Daniella_Xiloscent
Dost Suwat & crew
Fist_Beard (eliminated as not having rolled up a Character before the murder)
Elefus' wife (eliminated as not a suicide, she was struck from behind).

A party member asked "Where was Elefus' wife staying when she was murdered?" Since she was not staying at The Comeback Inn, she defaulted to staying at the Town Inn, across the street. Since that is where Rahl's secret portal is, the Party put two plus two together and determined someone involved with the Town Inn may have something to do with it. Therefore the Party decided two send some of the newest members of the party to since they are have not been noticed by Rahl, and snoop around. Junkbot, Fundisha, Numrendir, & Tak were nominated to go.

They were also briefed by the Fetch that while Rahl's portal in the cellar has been discovered, it is a separate counter-intelligence operation and it is NOT to be part of the murder investigation. Comings and goings to the cellar are to be reported only.

Junkbot & Fundisha (about 6 month's pregnant in the time- line) checked in to a double-suite, while Numrendir and Tak get single rooms. The first order of business was to have a house dinner in the Inn's common room and monitor who-does-what at the hotel. Available menu items were: 1) Rabbit with two sides, 2) The local fish and two sides. 3) Th house special side of Yak sauteed in Glick butter and muffins daubed in dingle-berry marmalade. 4) Dessert of Once-in-a-lifetime Super-Berry pie, made from the pumpkin-sized Super-Berry's from the local forest.

Junkbot and Fundisha had the fish, Numrendir had the rabbit, and Tak had the house special. No one ordered dessert.

Various hotel events and personalities met during the night were noted as follows:

- The Innkeeper at the concierge desk.

- The Barkeeper at the bar.

- A stable boy running errrands.

- A serving boy in the common room.

- Another serving boy in the common room.

- While checking in, a stranger off the street wandered in looking for work. (Description not noted by party).

- The Archbishop of the Church of the Facts of Life came in for a meal. He whispered something to one of the serving-boys and handed him a note.

- A beautiful female Drow checked out. Junkbot Jackson wanted to kill her based on alignment and religious preferences. But I had to point out to the Player his character does not know what a Drow is, has never met one, and therefore does not even know what a Drow looks like. As far as the character is concerned all he sees is a good looking, dark skinned female with white hair. However his character was slapped by Fundisha for looking too intensely.

- A group of two sailors led by a Captain also ate in the common room.

- A female halfling was observed getting a leather pouch delivered from the concierge desk.

- The Drow came back looking for something in the common room. After a minute she asked the crowd if anyone had seen her ivory pen?. As the crowd scrambled to look, Numrendir finds underneath the table where the Captain and two others were sitting. After thanking Numrendir, she broke wind noisily and departed. (Bringing the party's perception of her Charisma down by a point.)
