Hi all,
So, overall, it's very fair to say that there's a trend among us Blackmoorians to break out of the published timeline,
and to tell our own tales, in Blackmoor's past, and Blackmoor's future, be it in the Last Fantasy Campaign, in Evensong,
or, lately, in Thorn's Chronicle, and, generally, speculation about what might have happened in the eras preceding or following
the original campaign is pretty popular among you guys.
Now, would you, dear readers, gentle audience, and pawns of my banhammer, be interested in us dedicating an entire sub-section of the Comeback Inn to this topic?
One of the main reasons being that we would like to hear more about people's homegames, and those, as we all know,
often develop a dynamic that can lead the gaming group completely away from anything published.
So, what do you think? Opinions, please!
Your benevolent tyrant,
Rafe

Thats one of the biggest things that intrigued me with Blackmoor was how it covered so much area time-wise. From classic medieval fantasy to weird science and science fantasy, and finally to a sword & sorcery version of the modern age. Personally, thats something I'd love to explore in more detail, is what Blackmoor looks like once it evolved to what amounts to the modern age. Mixing modern concepts with the settings' mixture of science and magic.

To be honest, I think that canon material is very open to time travelling up and down the eras of Blackmoor, so the trend around exploring various eras (in my very very humble opinion  ) is perfectly in line with the intentions of Blackmoor designer
Rather than having ONE section for all other eras, we could identify A NUMBER of eras and reshuffle past threads amongst them... just to keep you a bit busy, Rafe

 No escape from laundry day.
But I am glad you like the idea. More than one section might be stretching the material a bit too much,
but we should have enough material to fill its own board already.
I'll leave the poll open until the end of the week, and, unless somebody comes up with a massive counter-argument,
by November 10th or something, you should have the new board.
Personally, I am mostly interested in how people treat Blackmoor's immediate future - I think I have never seen a scenario where
the Egg was still around at 1060 NC, and I have never seen one where the end of the Egg didn't result in a destruction of most
of the known areas. What was your take?

Maybe a forum for the Age of the Wolf (1299) and the Mage Wars eras - just since there is some playable material around that takes place in those eras.

I'd say, this is a clear "Rafe, do your goddamn laundry" vote.
The board will be set up as soon as Havard and I sober up from our Blackmoorian birthday week.
As to AotW, sure, I'd like to include that, too - but, I have to be honest, I have only a very little understanding of what is out there, and what is available to the public.
Also, my personal impression is that AoTW, while somewhat like the lost child of the Blackmoor, is really something that fell very much off the public radar.
A separate board for it alone might be a bit too quiet.
...Also, hell, I like the bright future of the LFC better than the gloomy vista we got from AOTW - a term that I coined back in the day! RAAAAAAAH.

Expect more on this later today!
As to the Age of the Wolf specifically, I have alot of thoughts on this topic. This could easily fit into our upcoming forum, although my original plan was to reserve that for the Coot's Nest/MMRPG section, since there are so many connections between AotW and the MMRPG.
OTOH, it seems that fan speculations about the future of Blackmoor will easily lead towards ideas about the Age of the Wolf. I see no reason why we should be restrictive about where this topic is being discussed.
