Upgrades & Announcements

This thread is for any announcements regarding the installation, changes, and problems with the forum software. In other words, it's pretty boring.

The forum has been upgraded to a new version. Please check to make sure your settings are correct, and check to make sure you are set to get notifications for threads you are watching.

When I upgraded the forum, I lost all the avatars. You should have gotten an email instructing you to reload yours. However, you can now find some avatars in the gallery to use.

Your login sessions now last 8 hours instead of 1 hour. This is nice for people wanting to make long posts. If you don't like this, remember to log out when you're done Wink

The forum software has been upgraded. Please let me know if you are having any issues (like lost avatars).

Also, since the last upgrade, I had modified the code to allow multiple accounts from the same email address. This upgrade will "undo" those changes. I will make another update when this feature is again implemented.

You can now sign up for multiple accounts with the same email address again.

The "Dungeons and Dragons" and "Updates & Announcements" forums have been combined into the forum called General.

General is the posting place for everything until a subject gets big enough to warrant its own forum.

Also a module has been added that allows moderators to join one thread into another. If you're joining or moving threads, it is suggested that you do NOT leave a shadow of the old one behind. This usually ends up in deleted posts.

The forum was down today on and off for a few hours due to some missing posts. Everything has been restored.

Yesterday I was working on the site, and lost some data. I was able to restore the forums, but a lot of avatars were lost. Please replace your avatar at your convenience.

Tonight, I added ranks and rank images. I downloaded the images from the phpbb website, but I had to modify them to make them look good.

After that, I reformatted the subBlack template to center your avatar/image on the left-hand side.

Let me know if there are any problems with seeing a nice looking page in your browser.
