Does anyone run Blackmoor with Castle & Crusade ? Do you adapt Blackmoor to C&C or C&C to Blackmoor ? Any house rules ?

I agree that this very interesting topic deserves its own thread, Raskal!
From what I've heard it should be very easy to convert BECMI D&D to C&C. Perhaps the best starting point would be the DA modules, and adapting those?
As to the ZG material, C&C doesnt use PrC's or Feats (to my knowledge) so those would have to be dropped, but I don't know how vital they are to Blackmoor anyway.

Does C&C have rules for subraces? IMO Westryn are fairly close to Wild Elves in many other settings. Docrae are based on the 3E halfling whereas standard Blackmoor Halflings are closer to Tolkienesque Hobbits.

I at knowledge level there is not subraces. You're right, it"s "easy" to create them. But it's better if someone else do the job :?

If so, my gut instinct would be to go the BECMI way and say that in C&C, both Westryn and Cumasti are treated as "elves".
Docrae are treated as Halflings.
But we could still do a full writeup for them, emphasizing the non-rules stuff...

I like most versions of D&D, but BECMI was the version that introduced me to Roleplaying and remains my favorite.
Dark Dungeons emulates BECMI so its okay in my book. Plus the author, Blacky the Blackball, is a good guy
What is your favorite version of (A)D&D?
