50th anniversary of the Troll's bridge poker game
#1
It may or may not have been the first, but as far as I know, the earliest Blackmoor game of which there is a record is still the Troll's bridge session mentioned in Corner of the Table:

Quote:There will be a medevil "BRAUNSTEIN" April 17, 1971 at the home of David Arneson from 1500 hrs to 2400 hrs with refreshments being available on the usual basis. Players may come at any time and any number are welcome to attend what should prove to be an exciting time. It will feature mythical creatures and a poker game under the Troll's bridge between sunup and sundown.

That's 50 years ago this Saturday! Anyone doing anything to celebrate/recognize it?

I'm running a special troll bridge poker game themed one-shot for my group tomorrow. Instead of the Chainmail-inspired system I used for my "First Dungeon Crawl[1]" game, this time around I'm planning on just using Black Hack 1e with some slight tweaks (stats inspired by old Blackmoor character sheets, using d% instead of d20).
