What is Blackmoor the MMRPG?
#1
Blackmoor the MMRPG is not to be confused with the online variety of MMORPG (Massive Multiplayer Online RPG).

Rather this is still relevant for your traditional pen & paper RPGs.

The MMRPG was a series of adventures for Blackmoor that were written by ZGG staffers and freelancers. Many of them are registered members of this forum!

The adventures were run at conventions, but also made available as free downloads so that people could use them in their individual campaigns.

The adventures are written for Dungeons & Dragons 3E, 3.5E and 4E but for the most part the adventures are fairly rules-light and easy to adapt to all editions.

Does it mean that you could keep your character sheet from Convention 1 and use it again at Convention 3 (maybe you missed Convention2...), making it growth during the years ???
Sounds both very cool and pretty complicate to handle for an organization...

Yes, I believe that is how it works. You can also bring characters from your home campaign to the conventions. Having a character who has participated in previous episodes will give you certain advantages like the certificates you can get for each episode in the downloads section.

I have never really played in any sort of organized play campaign (Blackmoor, or other), so others can perhaps fill in on some details. Smile

Revised the text above a bit and added links. I still think this text needs some improvement. Suggestions are welcome! Smile
