#1
OIn my blogI mention this Coats of Arms designer software which allows me to make quick Coats of Arms for Blackmoor for free.

Here are a few more samples:

Fair question!

I was going to make a separate Andahar Coat of Arms with the Hawk in it. does it make sense to distinguish between City Coat of Arms and the Crests of various noble families though? I'm not really sure what was common historically, but that's what I've been working from so far.

Thoughts?

The software allows me to make new ones fairly quickly so don't be afraid to criticize what I've got so far Smile

Hm, yes, that makes sense -- a family crest differing from that of the city/kingdom.

And as far as 'what was done historically,'....? Why should we let something like history or even -- dare I say it -- FACTS get in the way of what looks cool or works in the game? Wink

In the thought that we don't have to be all that accurate, how about using a mosquito or even a swarm of them rather than a bee for Boggy Bottom's coat of arms? Or you could use that idea for one of the other town in the lakes area. Just a random thought...

Hehe, well sometimes its nice to at least know how much you are diverging from reality Wink But some noble families control more than one town so it does make sense to have a different crest for each...

I like it!
I am normally limited by the selection of creatures available in the software I'm using, but I found something I might try to Photo Shop in that might just work Smile

Here's a revised version of Boggy Bottom based on Greg's suggestion:

And throwing in a few more:

Stealing the CoA for the LFC FB site, if you don't mind. Smile

Originally wanted to use the Greyhawk BM crest, but, really, no. Smile
