I will be doing my monthly video podcast tomorrow; we'll be live at one p. m., local (CST), and then the video will be up on line for your viewing pleasure on my YouTube channel - the link is in my signature.
Storytime with Uncle Chirine, a series about those thrilling days of yesteryear when we still pulled randomizer chits out of bags, will tell the astonishing tale of "The Adventure Of Gary Gygax And The Unpronounceable Name" - a tale of Ye Olde Gen-Con, back in Ye Olden Dayes at UW-Parkside, when we lived in the gypsy encampment in the gymnasium... yours, chirine

We got started late today, as my grandson had his first birthday today and was here being exhibited by his proud parents to his awestruck grandparents. The little tyke is wonderful, and thinks I'm the funniest thing he's ever seen... This episode of the podcast may be controversial for some folks. I commented on Mr. T. Kask's personal comments about Dave Arneson, which I gather had been made on the 'Dragonsfoot' forum; they were reprinted / reposted on a blog I follow; while Mr. Kask's editorial comments were accurate, I felt that his personal comments on Mr. Arneson were unprofessional and uncalled for, and quite unworthy of someone I used to have a high regard for as an industry professional. If I may be frank, I thought that Mr. Kask made a fool of himself in public. yours, chirine

Hey Jeff,
Busy these days with moving house, will write you later. However, here's some info on the "Drachenväter" book: http://www.spiegel.de/netzwelt/games/ro ... 51475.html (In German, though.) The book's out in Germany on April 15th. Yours, Rafe |
