Dark Shadows and Blackmoor?
#1
I just read a wiki article saying that major influences on Blackmoor were Tolkien books (OK...) and Dark Shadows TV serie (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dark_Shadows) that I never heard of (possibly I grew up in a different continent?).
Can anybody tell me more about it?
Now my curiosity is stirred...

Interesting.
This series were not mentioned in the Arneson Reading List thread. Do you remember which article/website suggested that Dark Shadows was an influence of Arneson?

Dark Shadows was a TV soap opera back in the early '70s. The story was about a modern vampire. Duane Jenkins was particularly fond of the series. I was not aware that Dave A was into it, too.

Thank you for the clarification! Smile
I guess this was never broadcasted in Europe, so I never heard about it before.
