looking for an original dnd game

Now, what you could do is get Xfire, which is free. Xfire has the option for Voice Chat, if everyone has a mic. That would speed things up. They also support typing. The quality is fairly good, and I think you can have up to 100 people.. That should be enough.

For something with more people, and supports different DnD games at the same time, you could look into Ventrillo or Team Speak. Both cost money for a server but can support a number of people and has different channels. So you could have "Bahumuths Channel" where the people playing in Bahumuths game would meet, and same with any other games.

I've also been looking at ScreenMonkey:

which has the advantage of letting players connect to the game just with their browser.

Then of course, there's the classic OpenRPG:
