BTW, here are some ideas for what the world looks in the year 490 TY.
Blackmoor Heartlands
(Vestfold, Maus, Blackmoor, Newgate, Booh, Erak, Jackport, Archlis, Bramwald, Williamsfort, Glendover)
Vestfold, Maus, Blackmoor, Erak, Bramwald, Booh, Jackport and Archlis are already founded at this time. The others are not. Note that at this time, there would be no special conflict between Bramwald and the others strongholds because the entire Heartlands are loyal to the Empire.
Outlands (Fel & Dukane)
This small region on the northeastern side of the Misauga River is pure wilderness.
Great Dismal Swamp
(Gloomy, Kenville, Boggy Bottom, South Pim)
None of the Thonian Settelements have yet been founded in this wast swampland.
The New Lands
(Dragonia, Bosero, Fairfield, Ramshead, Rug’s station)
Although the Thonians have attempted to settle these lands, all attempts have been thwarted by Dragons. The recent arrival of Dwarves could bring hope that these lands might one day become defendable from the draconian plague.
The Hartforest
(Weswood, Redwood etc)
The elven woods are united as one single huge forest. These woodlands also cover much of the northern coast of the Black Sea. It is inhabited by elves and many other sylvan creatures and Fey. However, recently these other sylvan races have begun to disappear. This forest is a single kingdom ruled by King Uhlmar Ithamis, grandfather of Menander.
The Glenfinian Wildlands (Duchy of Ten)
What will one day become the Duchy of Ten is now only known as the Glenfinian Wildlands.
The Superstition Reaches (Duchy of the Peaks)
The Superstition Reaches cover what will become the Duchy of the Peaks. Rogue Thonian mages have already settled here. The colonists are controlled by the Vandalay Clan.
Firefrost Peninsula
(Realm of Coot)
Home to Trolls, Giants and Undead.
Plains of Hak and Eastern Hak
Divided by the Valley of the Ancients, these grasslands are home to the Peshwah. Unlike the modern era, the Peshwah also roam much more freely to the west of Hak. The Peshwah in this age are as prone to making raids against Thonians as they are to making peace.
Valley of the Ancients
This Valley holds many mysteries. Should the City of the Gods can already be found here? In any case it is a place where few dare to venture.
Skandaharian Jarldoms
The Northmen of time have still not developed sophisticated enough ships to make for a serious threat against the Thonian settlements. Occasionally barbaric tribes make their way overland to the south, but they are usually repelled by Elves.
The above is a work in progress. Input is welcome!
