The Hello Thread!
Hullo all!

Been an Arneson fan as long as I have a Gygax fan. I have enjoyed Blackmoor ever since Judges Guild put out the First Fantasy Campaign.

Cheers!

Hello Michael!

Great having you on board! Smile

For those who don't know, Gronan played in both Arneson's, Gygax' and Barker's original campaigns. I am hoping you can share more stories from the old days with us Gronan, and perhaps some stories from the new days as well? Smile

Did you ever hook up with Tavis and the New York Red Box D&D group?

I did indeed hook up with Tavis! I ran about ten sessions of "Old D&D" for he and a few other friends. You can read about it at www.blogofholding.com, look under "Playing D&D with Mike Mornard."

One reason I'm here is about the story of "How the Cleric Started" and Sir Fang, which I told on RPGnet. I first heard that story from William Crolley, who was also one of Dave's first players. I'm hoping Mike Carr can help confirm or deny the details, as William admitted his memory isn't perfect...that was a LONG time ago.

All the old curmudgeons are coming out of the woodwork ... or "curmudgeons in their prime", I should say!

Welcome to the Inn, Gronan! Looking forward to many more snippets and insights into those days. Big Grin

Mike, not to be a pest, but how is your book going along? Smile I'd love to read that stuff. This could be a thing of pure beauty.

Perhaps my "Interview" with Mike Carrposted here, can help?

William Crolley is not a name that rings a bell at the moment. Very interesting. Do you remember what sort of characters he may have played in Arneson's campaigns?

Hello everyone, my name is Stephen and this is our first campaign. We’ve been working on Iron Age FRP for the last two years and now it’s time to finish the project. For that we need your help. I know that a lot of you reading this will try to download Iron Age: Core rules book over torrent sites, or similar services. Which is fine, people should be able to enjoy different products even if they cannot afford them (it is also promotion of sorts) . Yet, if we do not receive enough contributions, game won’t be available for download ever, as it won’t get published. That would be a shame. So if you like concept and would like it to get published (and (probably) soon end up on torrent download sites) please contribute. Even if you cannot contribute you can share it with other people over social networks, with your mail contacts, friends, etc. that might be interested and able to contribute. Every dollar counts. Click on the link bellow and visit our project site, where you can download free e-book, watch promo movie, share, like, follow our project and help us to make it happen.
