Running with the "eternal youth" idea, Havard, perhaps it hold a fragment of her life force to "bait" the effects of Entropy away from the rest of her. Sort of like a "reverse lich" -- PHENOMENAL COSMIC POWER, no need for moisturizer Now, should anything happen to that magic item... perhaps she would turn into a lich?

Excellent ideas Rob! This really means she has potential to be used even outside the standard Blackmoor Campaign. What do you think of the idea that the magic item with her life force (Death Talisman?!!!) and the Medallion corrupting her Officer is the same one?

Alternately, the medallion trying to thwart her, could contain the life essence of another (good) wizard that she defeated?

I could also see the Medallion showing up milennia later and being used to restore her to life...
