9 HD and Huge sounds too large for standard PCs (though if you're going to go in a BECMI Creature Crucible direction, it could work, since those books had stuff like Treants and Sea Giants) but they'd be very interesting to expand upon.
Maybe they have a long running war with the Sar-Aigu/Sahuagin in middle latitude waters, with the Orcafolk being stronger in subarctic waters and the Sar-Aigu/Sahuagin farther south?
