The D20 City of the Gods has a lot of amazing stuff created by Harley Stroh.
n this version of the classic Arneson/Blackmoor adventure the PCs can come upon Lady Ascendoris who is described as a Fire Nymph. I am not sure, but I think this may be a unique monster? A d20 style Nymph with a Fire Elemental template added perhaps? I don't recall how things worked exactly in 3e. If the quest associated with her is completed, she will disappear never to return.
We also meet Lady Ascendoris' sometimes lover, a Noble Fire Salamander named Lord Jihzaja (p17), also known as the Dour Lord. Lord Jihzaja knows about St. Stephen and considers him a threat. The Salamander is in control of a Pyrohydra and can summon a Fire Elemental.
Although the adventure does not specifically say so, I think it is likely that this adventure ends with both of these two creatures returning to the Elemental Plane of Fire.
Given that both are referred to as nobility it seems likely that they have some influence or are part of important families on the Plane of Fire.
What are some ways we can use these characters outside the City of the Gods adventure?
