I'll admit that I am worn out on traditional (LotR, EverQuest/Warcraft, etc) fantasy. Anything that turns the ear on fantasy, such as Eberron, Blackmoor & Ravenloft have my interest. Even with the variants though, I find my interest waning. I am not as active with creating as I used to be and for the longest time that is how I got the most joy out of TTRPGs. I like that PF2E (Pathfinder 2E) pushed the envelope towards greater customization, but I feel like Paizo didn't go far enough. Science Fantasy & Urban Fantasy grab my attention and hold it for longer than the standard tropes. I have a lot of respect for the tropes that gave us the fantasy genre of old for without it, the new fantasy tropes that have come out since wouldn't continue to inspire.
