You speak wise words, good friend. I think that folks have spent so much time arguing over who did what that they have mostly forgotten that these are just basic guys with a lot of ideas and enthusiasm. Nobody in the group of Founding Fathers of OD&D was ever really trained to run a business of the magnitude that TSR became, and it's really impossible to say how things would have turned out if either Gary or Dave had been at the helm for much longer. Gary was more of a promoter than Dave, which led to him becoming more of a figurehead for the OD&D movement. Dave was more of an introverted idea guy, which is why his name was sort of left behind along the way. Together they make the spark that ignited the multi-billion dollar industry that Role Playing Games have become today.
