[Zavoda's Blog] Blackmoor - Land of a Thousand Witches

Jason Zavoda, over at his blog Halls of the Mountain King, has written a few articles in a series called Blackmoor - Land of a Thousand Witches. This material focuses on the Greyhawk version of Blackmoor.

Does anyone know if this idea of Blackmoor being home to a thousand Witches is Jason's invention or whether it is based on other material? How difficult would it be to incorporate this material into other versions of Blackmoor? So far it doesnt seem very problematic, but I don't know if he plans on writing more articles in the series?
