It is a reference to Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, where Gary Gygax lived.
King Robert I of Geneva is a nod to Rob Kuntz who played in Gary's campaign and for a time was "King" of the Castles & Crusades Society, a group organized by Gary. Dave Arneson was also a member of this group, which published a fanzine called the Domesday Book. Dave Arneson submitted many articles to this fanzine, including #13 (1972) where Dave Arneson describes Blackmoor.BTW: Mohacs is undoubtedly a reference to the Battle of Mohács in Hungary. I bet Arneson had read about the battle in preparation for Wargaming.
