Crosspost from Dragon's Foot - Africa in RPGs
#1
Hey,

Today is a rather busy day for me, rpg-wise, as you might tell by my post frequency.

So, this time, I am looking for something rather uncommon:

What are the treatments of a "Black African", or Subsaharan African-style culture in fantasy RPGs?

I would be specifically looking for setting depictions that are based on rather modern, egalitarian views on Africa,
not so much on the colonialist/racist ones depicted in 30s pulp fiction ("Tarzan").

So far, the only one I know would be Aesheba, by Blake, O'Hare, and our own Frank Mentzer, written for "New Infinities".

But are there more?

I think, among others, Dragonlance's Taladas featured a jungle-like region, but apart from that, I have to confess that I don't know.

Thanks for your help,

Rafe
