I just started a Blackmoor adventure in The Weird Wood, an AFF adventure that can be set in the world of Titan, but that is adaptable to most fantasy worlds.
I'm trying to decide which wood on the map of Blackmoor can be nicknamed that way.... any recommendations? Smile
Maybe the Wetwood... I think there is barely any lore at all about it...

I'm pretty sure that Havard will find a clever way to weave the generic backstory of the Weird Wood / Wetwood adventure into the detailed but still not too detailed story of Blackmoor before it became an independent Kingdom. Smile

What is the weird wood like and what is in it?  Can't really make a suggestion without knowing that, but several candidates are springing to mind.

It is a cursed forest linked to rot and corruption due to brothers fighting each other for heritage centuries ago with cursed weapons. Ultimately, everything links to undeath.

Oh okay.

Well the obvious answer then is the Blood Wood. We talked a bit about it here: https://blackmoor.mystara.net/forums/sho...hp?tid=991

Weird Wood sounds super cool and should be an easy fit to Blood Wood with a little tweaking of the names and backstory.

Sounds right!
Maybe the backstory of the Weird Wood adventure should be tweaked a bit, making the two brothers Elves and not Humans. After all, I don't think it's a big deal. The undeads then should be probably elves too, although they were mercenaries serving one or the other brother, so strictly speaking they could be any race...

I'm running this game right now (on PbP) and so far it is going very well Smile

Getting there with this adventure... as mentioned, the only change I introduced so far was saying that several skeletons, including the skeletons of the two brothers, are elven skeletons. The rest seems to fit nicely and effortlessly.
