What do the other participants think about this?

It might get a bit confusing. If another character posts something that I want to respond to, then I'm going to want to do so, regardless of whether I've 'passed'.

The ref can probably figure out when we're waiting. For example, Ewart is hiding behind a tree right now, waiting for something to happen.

I suppose the thing to do would be to word your posts so that it is clear that you're not about to do something extra.

That said, I'll go along with whatever, if that's what people want.

Oh, I didn't mean that you would be barred from responding again. Just that the referee can move the plot ahead when he sees a pass from each player. It's effectively the same as wording your post to imply a pass, just more explicit.

Boss, which way did the elves come from? Behind us on the trail, ahead of us, or some other direction?

Thanks!

You don't know for sure: they came a bit all around you and they left indifferent directions.
Your impression is that they are quite good in the arts of deception and ambush (but they are not too willing to die...). You were quite lucky to get through it without a single scratch and the darkness spell removed one of their advantages, as otherwise you'd been very visible to them (campfire).

Guys, I think we might want to discuss our strategies the next time we talk to NPCs. So far we have Ewart trying to negotiate, Grumm trying to surrender, and Hororin casting a debuff spell (on friend and foe alike) that makes it necessary to fight.

Um, boss, isn't a roll of two natural sixes an automatic kill, not fail?

I had a roll to hit that is successful when the result is high and another skill check that is successful if you roll low... and of course I mixed them up!

That is a bit confusing. Anyways, thanks for fixing it!
