I just read a wiki article saying that major influences on Blackmoor were Tolkien books (OK...) and Dark Shadows TV serie (
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dark_Shadows) that I never heard of (possibly I grew up in a different continent?).
Can anybody tell me more about it?
Now my curiosity is stirred...

Arneson Reading List thread. Do you remember which article/website suggested that Dark Shadows was an influence of Arneson?

Dark Shadows was a TV soap opera back in the early '70s. The story was about a modern vampire. Duane Jenkins was particularly fond of the series. I was not aware that Dave A was into it, too.
