Yeah, I haven't seen anything yet. Judging by how quiet Jeff has gotten in the last few weeks, I'm not terribly suprised.

After reading the little blurb on the Dolmen Creative website, I have a feeling the "March 4th" date was simply the planned launch of the new website.

Well, for once we are ahead of the game. Many of you have seen the “March 4, 2012″ site holder for the last few weeks and have been doing your damnedest to try to get the information out of us. Well, this is one of the little gifts we have in store… a newly designed website!

However, I had hoped that his stating the new website was "one of the little gifts" meant that we could still expect something else in the pipline for March 4th.

On a different topic, I looked into the Witcher D6 RPG and I can't seem to find an english translated version. Have you ever heard of one?

Yeah, you know, not to rant, or whatever, but this is exactly what irks me about the matter.

If he had simply shut up and worked on the book until it was ready, this would have been something to look out for.
But with all the delays, and false announcements, he's losing a lot of credibility.

Which is a shame, because Jeff is a talented writer.

I saw the Polish book a few years ago, though, so there's probably a community out on the web that knows better.

But Metabarons is by no means a bad choice, either. Like, the comic book is one of the masterpieces of our time.

I think the one largely to blame for this is me. Its not so much Dolmen Creative have been slapping their chests boasting of the wonders that will come, but more than I have been posting about this game here and on my blog. Besides the WEG forum I havent seen much talk about it really.

Besides, having projects cancelled or delayed happens pretty much all the time in the gaming industry. WotC and Paizo are probably the only companies who are able to make their schedules most of the time, and with WotC we have also seen lots of cancellations lately. For small one or two man companies it is rough and we are luck if we get to see some of the projects come through. WEG fans will know very well what I am talking about.

With the excellent material Jeff wrote for D20 Blackmoor and Goodman Games, I would love to see more of his work being published.

I have the Polish version of Witcher *somewhere*, but from what I remember it has nothing to do with D6.

Metabarons is a beautiful book, but it is not a fantasy setting. If one is interested in doing Space Opera with D6 there are far better alternatives out there. (D6 Star Wars).

We are straying off topic here, but if you are interested in Arthurian Roleplaying, I much more recommend the Pendragon RPG, which is a variant of BRP (Cthulhu, Runequest), but excellently applied to the genre.

I had a crazy day yesterday and didn't get a chance to post but I was basically going to say the same thing. I will add however that my premptive enthusiasm for Destiny6 probably does more harm than good since I think people would respond better if Destiny6 just dropped off the radar till it was done. Talking about it only reminds people of the disappointment and how long the delay(s) have extended.

On a related note, Jeff did post on the D6 forums that he is releasing some card sets that are compatible with D6 games. While I am interested in this new product, I am slightly annoyed that they are specifically being marketed as compatible with Destiny6 (a game that does not yet exist).

Thanks for checking in Jeff and don't give up. Reading about the next edition of D&D has gotten me in the mood for some role playing but I'd much prefer to get my fix with a good fantasy D6 system. Even though I think the next edition is shaping up to be a vast improvement over 4e, it is still D&D with its clunky ridgid mechanics (relative to D6) and I'd like something that allows for a more cinematic gameplay.

BTW, have you checked out the open playtest material? They've got some pretty interesting ideas about character creation (race, class, background, and theme)

Hehe, 5e would probably best make for another thread.

I have skimmed through the material, and it looks sort of like 3e light, to me.
Not bad, but, really, as I wrote elsewhere, 100-150 $ for three rule books,
if I can get the entire run of Dragon Warriors 2e for the same amount of money, naaah.
If Wizbro brings settings back that interest me, then okay, but otherwise, I'll stick to the stuff that I already own.

As to Jeff, well, indeed, thank you for clarifying, and good luck in the future. I should stress that you remain one
of my personal favorite RPG writers, but at the same time, please understand that, while nobody expects you to
publish new stuff, people really get upset if you promise and then don't deliver.
