Arneson inspired combat
#1
Hello!

Here is something I came up with ... this is more of a "thinking out loud" document then anything else. I am working with this as a basis for OD&D.

Feedback?

TLDR.

Just kidding. That is COOL.

Do you know about "Dragons at Dawn", by chance?

Very interesting document Radagast! And again, welcome to the Comeback Inn! I like how you have combined these various game mechanics by Arneson into a unique combat system.

I know that Arneson himself was very critical of his own hit location rules and said he mainly wrote them because TSR asked him to do so. Is this something you have thought about with your project?
