Which Retro-Clone or other Old School inspired RPG would you consider using for a Blackmoor campaign? Dragons at Dawn sounds like a very interesting option, as does Swords & Wizardry.
I am also a big fan of Dark Dungeons (The RC clone).
Which one would you use?

I don't know very much DD, but I used RC extensively. It seems me a good choice, as it gives rules for dominions and warfare, very useful for a Blackmoor campaign.

Basic Fantasy is pretty good.http://basicfantasy.org/main.html
It's free like most of the others,it does use the ascending method if thats a issue with you. Also casters only cast up to 6th level spells at least with the core rules. Labyrinth Lords is another good one.
I love the idea of Swords and Wizardry White Box but it would only work with a very open minded kinda group.

If you were looking to replicate early Blackmoor you could do no better than Dragons at Dawn, but I think it would be better to use the level vs AC system as in D@D supp I.
I wouldn't use S&W since it is significantly more Gygaxian in approach and flavor.
The RC is a safe choice, provided you treated it as guidlines, not rules. I suspect that Dark Dungeons might be problematical in that regard. Basic Fantasy is good and covers a lot of the same ground, but not quite as much.
If you like 3e, that's probably the best option. Not personally a fan though.
I'd say my upcoming Champions of ZED rules are almost ideal for use in Blackmoor, but they prolly won't be generally available till next summer.

If I wasn't using Savage Worlds for my games, I would be using BECMI/RC or its clone Dark Dungeons.

Sounds interesting! Where can I find out more about this? 8)

I split off Raskal's response about Champions of ZED into a separate thread here: viewtopic.php?f=45&t=1539
