The World of Freeport
#1
I wanted to flag that, in The World of Freeport (by Green Ronin) there is a swamp called the Carrion Swamp that is a very "close relative" of the Great Dismal Swamp (fronglins and ancient temples included) to the point that it takes no time at all to port swamp adventures across. Of course the names and the exact layout of the map are different, and the detail in the backstory isn't perfectly aligned, but again it takes really minor effort to rectify all backstories (or ignore them - it's fine).
Although there is formally no connection between the World of Freeport and Blackmoor, this can't be a coincidence!

Nice! I am a huge fan of Freeport, but I have not studied the world beyind the city itself. I love that detail about the swamp. I think it would be very easy to adapt Freeport to Blackmoor.

Can you link to some of these adventures? Freeport isn't on my radar.

I think that Beyond the Towers is the adventure that fits better:

Have a look at Green Ronin website for more:

Doh!

Yes I've run that one in Blackmoor! (mentioned in the "Groda" post, I think). I didn't realize/remember there was a larger world setting it was connected to. Anyway, thanks Yaz.

Here is your original post that you mention: viewtopic.php?f=76&t=8776&hilit=Groda
Eventually I did what I promised there and I'm running that adventure in Blackmoor... but forgot you originally suggested it...
