I recently aquired
Champions of Zed and have been giving that a read this week. I may write more thoughts about this elsewhere (in brief, it's very interesting).
I'll be running the second session of a new
Simple Superheroes campaign on Saturday. This I am really looking forward too. I always felt that SS was pretty Arnesonian in that it recognizes that having a rule for everything is absurd, and instead offers a framework to let you build your powers. Really everytime a new character is created it gives the opportunity to create rules for them.
I've just started the
Compose Dream Games RPG Marketplace with a number of other Canadian game designers (like 2 weeks ago, just started). In celebration of Blackmoor week and Arneson Game Day, you can go grab anything for 20% off with the coupon code: Arneson
This is something we'll probably do every year.
All this has also made we want to dust off my old
Places of Mystery & Legend project. This was a series that I started for a magazine, which focussed on places that stories would be told about. Places that heroes should here about long before they encounter them. I had 17 of these that I wrote in brief, and some were done in considerable more detail.
