Researching the organizations of Blackmoor gave me some ideas about one of them, the Brothers of the Dark Vision.
While the name is quite omnious, the group is one of Bards who specialize in telling scary stories.
At first I didn't find this very inspiring. Then an idea hit me. What if the Brothers of the Dark Vision are so good because they have first hand experience with dark forces? If they are good at telling ghost stories, perhaps it is because they are hunters of the undead?
Perhaps even the order could have been founded by one of the people who took part in the Great Vampire Hunt of Sir Fang?
According to the BMPG p 207 they all wear a pin with the shape of an eye. I also picture them all equipped with stakes, garlic, holy symbols and whatever would be believed to keep ghosts and such creatures away.
