Blackmoor 5E class conversions
#1
I'm running a 5E game in Blackmoor, and wrote a "lazy" conversion guide that hopefully covers all of the classes, prestige classes (3E), and paragon paths (4E) from older versions of Blackmoor, and provides suggestions for 5E replacements. I'm open to feedback - it took much longer than I anticipated to put together this first draft, and I admit I kind of lost interest near the end.

Hello Kris!

This is very cool! I am a big proponent of "lazy" conversions myself.

Your take on the Idolater, Elderkin and Wokan as multiclassed with Warlocks is very interesting. I have been wondering how to convert these classes. Ideally new classes could be created, but that would take a lot of work. I rather like your take.

I also like that you have included all (?) of the Prestige Classes from 3E and the 4E Paragon Paths. The Paragon Paths are of special interest to me and many of them will feature as archetypes or organizations in my future installments of the Thonia Fan Sourcebooks. Some of these classes are very cool. I like your takes, but I will have to think about these some more.

Thanks again for sharing! Smile

I really wanted the elderkin, idolater, and wokan to work as 1st level classes, but couldn't figure out a way to maintain the flavor without homebrew rules. My players are new to the game, and I want them to learn the rules as written before I change anything.

OK, I made many many many revisions, decided to move everything onto a wiki on my personal server, and I have started converting races, alignments, factions, feats, equipment, spells, magic items, monsters, beasts, NPCs, etc.

(Wiki isn't currently open to registrations because I want to get it done for my own campaign before I open it up to anyone else)
