When I was working at Zeitgeist Games running the traditional games division we had plans to build upon the Beagle but Dave wanted to keep the event “cloudy”.
We found a middle ground and began roughing it out.
The project was shelved after I left the company.

Anyone know what Richard might be alluding to? The Age of the Wolf line? Or something else?

If anything, this is also some interesting insight into Dave's thoughts on the setting and how it ought to be presented.

Its certainly fun to speculate.

Wrath of the Immortals (now free on DrivethruRPG) expands on the storyline of the FSS Beagle, introducing a new crew member Rheddrian Benekander and his rival Ogdoban Treel. It also explains how the FSS Beagle ultimately was destroyed. Of course, this is Aaron Allston's vision and does not necessarily mesh with Dave Arneson's ideas, although it does not contradict any of Arneson's work.
