I have been DMing 5E for it's entire run. I'm done for now.
I want to run a Blackmoor Game BIGTIME. I'm feeling the need with it turning 50.
So, that leaves what game system do I want to use?
I am leaning heavily towards Old School Essentials, Dungeon Crawl Classics, or Black Hack.
I have run a Blackmoor Dungeon Crawl Classics game before and it was fun. Though honestly DCCRPG while still a great game is a bit too chart filled. Towards the end of that campaign I do remember
being sick to death of looking die rolls up on charts almost every players turn.
Old School Essentials seems almost perfect. It also fits right into a LOT of other OSR systems so I can steal Dolmenwood, Midderlands and other goodies to sprinkle on the edges of Blackmoor to give us more to do.
The Black Hack 2nd edition hardback is on the way as a gift. My wife is a gem isn't she? 8) but I only dimly remember reading The Black Hack first edition once years ago.
So.....What do you guys think? Any of those jump out more than the others?
