Ursai - Havard - 06-07-2011 The LFC has featured at least two Bearman characters. What kind of lore has been accumulated on this race through the campaign? Outside this game, we know that the Ursai/Ursoid race was used with Blackmoor in connection with the Star Empires Campaign. Did we ever figure out who controlled the Ursoid civilization? What rules would you use for Ursai characters (any edition)? -Havard Re: Ursai - gsvenson - 06-07-2011 I was playing the president of the Ursai Republic in the Star Empires campaign. Re: Ursai - Havard - 06-08-2011 Ah, yes of course! I remember that now. Thanks Greg! I have been looking all over the net for 3E stats for bearmen, but have been unable to find any so far. Did you play the Ursai Republic as heroically as you did the Great Svenny, or were they more scheming types? (I do realize it was quite a while back) -Havard Re: Ursai - gsvenson - 06-09-2011 I am afraid that I was never known for being subtle or scheming, so I think that I played the Ursoid leader more like I played Svenny. Re: Ursai - ripvanwormer - 09-27-2016 Havard Wrote:What rules would you use for Ursai characters (any edition)? Simplest idea: they're bugbears. Another possibility: werebears. More generously: they're ursinals. More disturbingly: they're gnoph-keh. Weirder: zentragts. Less weird: ursines. Re: Ursai - Rafael - 09-28-2016 Bobby the Bear was statless, and I used him as the setting's based god. Rizak, for Hrrd, used d20 stats that we built based on a non-D&D character model from RIFTS. I recall explicitely using this book: http://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/606 ... tion-Rules ...But I am not sure in what capacity, or what exact elements we carried over to d20. I think the shapechanging power was based in an idea from RIFTS, though. |
