Hiya Perilous, good to see you here Semi-Retired Gamer (Charlie) has been the main motor of this recent wave of AiF discussions here. At the moment we are at least getting a common understanding of the rules and have even looked into some possible house rules/fixes. Who knows where it will lead in the long run? -Havard Re: [AiF] AiF Clone on the way? - Havard - 07-08-2014 hedgehobbit Wrote:finarvyn Wrote:After all, AiF didn't sell many copies when it was its own thing, so why expect a clone to be more popular. :?A clone might actually be playable. Most likely Flying Buffalo or the Arneson Estate. -Havard Re: [AiF] AiF Clone on the way? - Semi-Retired Gamer - 07-08-2014 hedgehobbit Wrote:A clone might actually be playable. THIS is the main point right here! 8) :!: Re: [AiF] AiF Clone on the way? - Mythlym - 07-09-2014 I would love to see a clone of the game(the only way I will ever see it). Now I have no illusions that any clone would sell as well as D&D,but don't let that stop you! I can tell you hundreds of people would read it,play it and comment on it or all three! I don't see anyone paying bills with there rpg made money but contributing to the hobby we all love and adore seems good enough reason! Besides think of all the people who would never get the chance to see Daves ideas in game form. Call it Arn's Adventurers! Re: [AiF] AiF Clone on the way? - Rafael - 06-02-2016 Well, *cheap plug imminent*, in my world of Meleon, I use the Bleakwood map as a base for my description of Cold River Riding, the setting of my actual tabletop game. While not a *clone*, so to speak, this is certainly one of the more direct adaptations the game has seen lately. The adventures from "The Book of Adventure", the dragon's lair, and the wizard's tower, have not appeared in the game just yet, and to be frank, I think they won't, at least in a while. Here's a link to my game blog - it's in German, though: https://zumgoldenenbecher.wordpress.com ... er-riding/ |
