  Underwater Adventures in Blackmoor
Posted by: Havard - 02-03-2010, 02:23 PM - Forum: General Blackmoor Discussions - Replies (9)

PC3 the Sea People is one of those products that I really love for Classic D&D, but which I also never got to use as much as I wanted. Supplement II: Blackmoor also has rules for underwater adventures, making me wonder what secrets the Black Sea might hold?

More on the Denizens of the Black Sea.

Any ideas?

Must all Blackmoor Campaigns be epic?
Posted by: Havard - 02-03-2010, 09:36 AM - Forum: General Blackmoor Discussions - Replies (6)

This is something I've been talking to Rafe about. The DA series in particular emphasizes the imminent war with the Afridhi and the underlying threat from the Egg of Cootis always present.

Must all Blackmoor campaigns revolve around this however? How about some more down to earth exploration games? I'm guessing many of Arneson's own games were traditional dungeon crawls, even though war was also a prominent feature.

Any ideas for more exploration oriented or other types of campaigns?

  Solomon Kane movie
Posted by: Rafael - 02-03-2010, 01:01 AM - Forum: Zvenzen's Freehold - General Chat - Replies (7)

Hey,

I just had the rare opportunity to watch the Solomon Kane movie with James Purefoy in the lead.

No time to post an entire review, just saying I recommend you go and buy the DVD.

It's vastly underrated and the best fantasy movie I have seen in years.

No LotR, of course, but ages better than Van Helsing, Eragon, or one the recent Dracula remakes.

Yours,

Rafe
