Well no. We don't exactly know that Kings Crossing is close to Twiggs. What we know is that:

""...a frontier settlement near the Westwood... The small logging and farming village of Twiggs has been under attack... One woodsman, finding his brother woounded and near death, made a desperate flight to Kings's Crossing, the nearest town with a temple large enough to offer magical healing." EP37:3

That tells us only that Twigg is located somewhere, anywhere, near the Westwood. However, we have a much more definitive location for Kings Crossing:

"Founded at the junctures of the Newgate and Ramshead Roads (via Boggy Bottom and the Root River), ...The centerpiece of this growing village is the floating bridge that crosses the Root River..." EP18:44 and EP37:30

"She is heading to the temple site north of town, near Blood Lake, to help in the completion of the temple construction" EP18:11

Here is that exact road juncture mentioned above as shown in the DA style map and the Clayton Bunce map:

The writers probably had the Bunce map in mind, but whichever, Kings Crossing is NOT next to Westwood. It IS next to Bloodwood which does have an undead problem.

So there are two possible solututions. Either Twiggs is actually near Bloodwood, not Westwood (which makes a lot of sense), or the Woodsman and his brother worship some deity with few temples, the nearest one being in Kings Crossing for some reason and not Vestfold which should be closer. Alternatively, maybe the road to Vestfold was blocked by zombies or something and Kings Crossing was the only option.

In the second case it would indicate that Twiggs must be on the SW side of Westwood, although, frankly, I think they just made a mistake on the name of the forest and really meant the village was near the Bloodwood. In fact, the Woodsmen could well have been headed to the newly constructed temple of Pacuun on Blood lake, mentioned several times in episode 18.

Hum... I agree with you that everything would stack up much better if Twiggs was somewhere else (I don't think that the second option with the Woodsman going from the Westwood to the Root river for healing his brother close to death is strong enough).
As we have some clashing information between the various episodes, maybe we could clarify this geographical detail with the very authors or with Dustin Clingman? We are so lucky that they pass by here from time to time, and they are so kind...

Did we have any joy in clarifying with Dustin Clingman or some other ZGG author this geographical information clash?
