Night Druid from The Piazza commented about the unusual shape of the city walls. I was wondering if Arneson could have been inspired by the architechture of Star Forts? The main reason for building Forts in this manner is to protect against Gun Powder, but cannons and muskets were available in Arneson's Campaign. This technology was apparently retconned away later, but I suppose the same architecture could be useful against fireballs and similar spells?
