About when did the Schattenalfen enter the Hollow World? Were they Azcan-like prior to this or is that a culture they adopted later on?

The Hollow World DM's Sourcebook places the emergence of the Shattenalfen, followers of Atzanteotl, at around BC 1400. They war against the Kogolor dwarves for about five years before going west to settle in their current "home" in the Hollow World.

They were Azcan-like before this, and see the Azcans to the north as a "mockery" of their culture.

There is actually quite a bit of confusion regarding this topic. We've had extensive discussions about it over on the Piazza if you want to check out the Shadow Elf Lineages thread.

I think after some long talks and pretty heavy thinking, we came up with some solutions that make sense.
