The best way to remember Dave Arneson is to play in Blackmoor Smile

No "plans". Now, in a different context and quite privately so, I put together a list of titles that I consider either a direct inspiration to Blackmoor, or to be directly inspired by the works of Dave Arneson, OR SIMPLY to be coincidentally similar enough to themes I associate with Blackmoor that reading them can serve to enrich a "Blackmoor experience".

Happy to share it with you guys:  https://t.ly/U4M2j (Goodreads link.)

This is not meant to be an exclusive or a ranked list, and if people have other suggestions, I will gladly consider including them as well. Now, all the books named here are not just "set in a Dark Flintlock Fantasy Nordic Setting" or do "contain generally similar themes as Blackmoor", like (honestly) many Fantasy books tend to do. With these books, I think an intertextual relationship is plausible, for some reason - especially with Saberhagen, and with Angus Wells.

Use this as you like. Maybe we'll get a few fun new debates out of this.  Smile
