yes, going back to a safe hideout is a good plan.
In my view, Rafe, Gaderon will be more useful not as a direct damage dealer but as a buffer, summoner and terrain controller, possibly. This is because of Rahotep's magic resistance: most of the spells will not affect him. So we have to hit him with physical weapons, and the more attackers we have the better.

Don't forget in-game postings...

I think that we either need Ahi to tell the rest of us what Rahotep is doing or Gaderon to just teleport us back to Theban to recover and plan out next attempt to take him down.

I'd vote for the teleport. Our feathers have been ruffled.

It looks as if Ail has quietly left our game. So what are we going to do now? On one hand, I don't want to let this game die so shortly before its end, after it ran for such a long time. On the other hand, I'm not sure whether it makes much sense to continue with half of the PCs being without a player.
One possibility would be that we leave it be, and I write a fitting end for the game - something that might have happened.

Probably the best choice, at this point. The campaign was a beautiful one, but, especially like this, another run at Rahotep probably won't be played out well.
Not happy with this, at all. After such a long time, I expected Ail to be of more stature. At least drop a fucking note, man.

I agree with your idea as to how it might have ended and that Ivid and Elmo's bodies might be found and resurrected afterwards. Maybe Gaderon could take us beck to that treasure vault and we could all come out wealthy, as well..
