And the mage summoned his last greater spell, his last Wish, to conjure yet another mirror of Kherim's earlier spell.

He himself might not be able to beat Rahotep, but he could draw upon the magic of those that could!

Sol will move around to his right (to the red square to the left of Rahotep in the image) and attack from there:

Three attacks: 13/14, 26/12, 18/12

Kherim will double his efforts and press on with the attack. Encouraged by the effect of his sword on Rahotep, he strikes again as forcefully as he can.

Damage:

Meanwhile, Ahi decides to circle Rahotep while he is occupied with the fighters in order to reach a point where he can try and touch the mummy. If he can make it this round, he would like to cast a Cure Serious Wounds on Rahotep.

OOC: this is assuming undead are harmed by cure spells in 1st Ed. I'm not entirely sure that is the case. If not, then Ahi will move to a position away from Rahotep and as far from possible from the line connecting Rahotep and Gaderon.
The idea is that if the fighters need to retreat, then both Gaderon and Ahi can pound on Rahotep with fire-damage dealing spells, and Rahotep will hopefully not be able to attack both at once. Ahi's range is 60ft, so he only needs to be close enough to heal the fighers in an emergency.

Round 5

Party initiative: 1
Rahotep initiative: 4

Surrounded by enemies, Rahotep tries his luck and starts casting a spell, gathering dreadful necromantic energies around himself. Taking their chances, both Eilkhan and Kherim strike out, trying to catch the mummy off guard and interrupt his casting.

Attack of opportunity for Eilkhan: 9 (taken from the list)
Attack of opportunity for Kherim: 23
Chance for a critical hit for Kherim: 64
Sword of Anubis damage: 11
Concentration check for spell failure: 43

The paladin's attack hits, but Rahotep manages to retain his concentration and finishes the spell. A wave of dark, corrupting energy radiates away from Rahotep and washes over you . It circumvents the Interposing Hand in front of Gaderon, and easily penetrates his globe of invulnerability.

OOC: Everyone needs to make a ST vs magic. The still-active prayer spell gives you all a bonus of +1, protection from evil adds another +2. Don't forget your individual bonuses from magic items. Wisdom and dexterity don't apply here.

Furiously, Kherim continues slashing at Rahotep, striking for another 33 points of damage.
Chance for a critical hit for Kherim: 34

Eilkhan attacks too, but misses again.
Eilkhan's attack: 8 (from the list)

While Sol and Ahi move closer to attack themselves, Gaderon casts yet another limited wish, duplicating a holy word to hinder Rahotep again in the next round.

Sol attacks from the left and scores two hits for 25 points of damage.
Chance for a critical hit for Sol: 58

Ahi circles around the pillar to be able to cast cure serious wounds at the mummy. He touches the evil one and deals out 3 points of damage.
Cure serious wounds on Rahotep: 3

Does Sol's ring of spell turning have any affect on this spell?

ST= 10

Assuming success on the ST, he will continue his attack: 18/12, 20/14

Seeing that the well of his own magic powers is starting to dry down, Gaderon will, finally, produce one the powerful arcane items he has carried with him all the way through the dungeon:

A wand that fires magic missiles.

And, conseequently, he will start firing those magic missiles at Rahotep.

Afraid for the effects of Rahotep's dark magic, Ahi tries a gambit of his own, and spends the last of his Heal spells (not the last of his "healing" spells) on the mummy.

Kherim, supposing he survives, doubles on his attack.

Round 6

Party initiative: 2
Rahotep initiative: 6

The necromantic energy tears on your bodies and causes painful damage to all of you, although your resilience to this type of magic is remarkable and you all avoid the full force of this assault and only suffer 10 points of damage.
OOC: Sol's ring only functions when a spell is directed at him alone, but not when spells are in effect that cover a whole area.

Gaderon saving throw: 24
Eilkhan saving throw: 21 (from the list)

Muttering dark curses against you, Rahotep once more tries to cast a spell, in spite of foes surrounding him, and once more Set seems to hold his protective hand over him, because your attacks in hope of breaking the casting all fail!

Attack of opportunity for Sol: 14
Attack of opportunity for Kherim: 14
Attack of opportunity for Eilkhan: 7 (from the list)

And so Rahotep evokes a blade barrier rotating around him in a close circle.
OOC: Sol, Kherim, Eilkhan, and Ahi need to make another ST vs magic to jump back and avoid the blades. The same bonuses as before apply, but this time you may also add a DEX bonus, in case you have one. All attacks from you in this round are canceled due to the new situation. Of course, Ahi also has no chance to cast heal at Rahotep under these circumstances.

Gaderon fires three magic missiles out of his wand. These fly straight through the whirling blades and hit Rahotep, albeit with no damage whatsoever - most likely due to Rahotep's magic resistance.

Gaderon, out of his depth against a foe so formidable, casts a Dispel Magic, in Rahotep's general direction.

Perhaps he can damage the bladestorm, or even rattle the mummy's other magical defenses.
