Kherim knows next to nothing about such swords, except that they hold special powers for paladins when wielded. He doesn't know which powers though, and how to use them. Identification magic or contacting a sage would be solutions here. Perhaps he will also discover them by chance.

As to the bonuses, the only one that he will get will be the magical 'plus' of the sword as is the case with all magic weapons. His +3/3 bonus from specialization is definitely lost when he wields it.

Just wondering, would it have been possible during the time we stayed at Gaderon's house to identify the Holy Sword? If I'm not mistaken, Gaderon has the Identify spell.

Yes, it was of course possible for Gaderon to identify the longsword during that time.

Osiris' Blade: Blessed by the clergy of Osiris, this sword is a sword of sharpness with a +1 bonus to hit, and a +3 damage bonus. It severs an extremity on (modified) to-hit rolls of 19-21 for normal-sized and armored foes; 20-21 for large-sized opponents; and 21 or better for creatures of metal or stone.
The blade can be used by anyone, but if a paladin (not necessarily one of Osiris) uses it, it inflicts +10 damage points against chaotic evil opponents. A paladin can also activate a zone of magic resistance with a radius of 5' around him, once per day for a duration of 10 rounds.

So, it's a -5 to hit compare to the scimitar. I'll have to think upon it.
I guess by default, Kherim will continue using the scimitar, and only bring out the sword in special occasions.

The effect on Kherim's scimitar is not very spectacular, but moreso on Tizona. Sol's blade gets completely engulfed by crackling dark energies. The effect seems to last, and Sol notices that he loses the mental contact to his sword. Kherim's scimitar seems to withstand the assault, and the sparks and discharges quickly dissipate again.
